CONFERENCE INFORMATION
OBJECTIVE OF CONFERENCE
The objective is to provide leading edge reports on the improvement of agricultural and land management decisions that result from using information delivered by geospatial technologies. Geospatial Information is information produced by a range of geospatial technologies to assist in, for example: precision agriculture, remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS), finding the best location for new enterprises, predicting potential threats from weeds, pests and diseases, using airborne geophysics for salinity management, accessing spatial information via the Internet, for use by land managers. There are many opportunities where the use of geospatial information can result in better management decisions that will lead to higher productivity, reduced costs and reduced environmental impacts.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Leading farmers, Agricultural consultants, Agribusiness, Agricultural contractors, Land managers, Catchment managers, Natural resource managers, Government extension staff, Local government, Information technology providers.

PROGRAM
The program will bring together the considerable amount of experience and knowledge about geospatial information and agriculture that exists in Australia. Conference participants will hear how production and environmental management can be improved by using geospatial information at various scales: paddock, property and regional (e.g. subcatchment, landscape management unit).
